Recreation Area
Located on the northeast edge of Springview, the Springview Recreation Area is a hub of activity throughout the summer months. The recreation area features picnic shelters, a playground, baseball diamond and basketball and tennis courts. Six camper pads are available with electrical hookups and a waste dump. A restroom/shower facility is open during the summer months for public use. The area is a popular spot for family gatherings, church picnics etc. The recreation area is bordered on the north by the local golf course, to the east by an extended recreation area. This area has a roping arena where local cowboys and cowgirls host roping competitions. Recently added is a mud volleyball pit.
Cub Creek
Keya Paha County offers excellent hunting and fishing opportunities. Cub Creek Recreation Area, 8 miles west of Springview on Highway 12, is an excellent fishing spot both summer and winter. Plus, the picnic shelters are the perfect spot to set up a camp site and spend the weekend! There are also many private ponds that are available to fisherman with landowner permission.
Camping / Camper Hook-ups
Camping facilities and RV hook-ups are available at the Springview Recreation Area; spots can be reserved by calling (402) 497-2901. Six camper pads are available with electrical hookups and a waste dump. A restroom/shower facility is open during the summer months for public use. Additional RV hook-ups are located on a private lot and can be reserved by contacting Kevin Mizner at (402) 760-1539.
Hunting
The Niobrara River and Keya Paha River valleys offer abundant numbers of white tail and mule deer as well as turkeys. Several local outfitters offer guided hunts in the area.
